Job Details:

  • First shift, Monday - Friday
  • 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Weekly competitive pay

Responsibilities:

  • Read design orders and create upholstery stencils
  • Select and source materials used for upholstery
  • Prepare the project by dismantling furniture
  • Measure and cut leather, fabric, or other materials
  • Install foam and batt to furniture framework
  • Install and repair furniture webbing and seating springs
  • Stretch and install fabric or leather coverings
  • Stitch, glue, and nail material
  • Smooth out imperfections with an iron or steamer
  • Inspect product for quality and damages
  • Comply with the health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

 

Position Requirements:

  • Previous Upholsterer or related experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus
  • Ability to read orders and designs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Required to stand for the entire shift
  • Engage in repetitive motions including bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
