POSITION SUMMARY:
Timers manage the race day timing of athletes for running in our 5K events. They work with the race director to ensure accurate athlete timing on race day. This is a part time position with the majority of hours on weekends. Some minor computer work is necessary prior to race day.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Strong communication and organization skill required.
Ability to work with race director under stressful situations.
Strong computer skills necessary. Basic skills in networking and database required.
Background in running, 5Ks or endurance racing is a plus.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Basic mechanical skills necessary (operating generator, install start / finish line truss).
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Must have clean driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Vehicle that can carry timing equipment or ability to drive pickup truck with a trailer.
