KMC Rubber is seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Athens, GA team.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee our shipping and receiving operations. This role is critical to ensuring that our products are shipped and received safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, logistics, and team leadership, and will be dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

- Lead, train, and develop the shipping and receiving staff, setting clear performance expectations and conducting regular evaluations.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee the accurate documentation of all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage the scheduling of shipments and deliveries to optimize warehouse space and ensure timely product availability.
- Implement and maintain shipping and receiving best practices, streamlining processes for increased efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of shipping and receiving practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies or issues, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and any relevant metrics to support operational reporting and decision-making.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving areas in compliance with safety and operational standards.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and relevant software (e.g. ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification and experience preferred.

**Working Conditions:**
The position may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will work in a warehouse environment, which may be subject to varying temperatures, noise levels and airborne particles.
