As a **Security Professional - Government Patrol** in **SANTA CRUZ, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining clear communication with staff and visitors. This post is primarily driving, so you will spend much of your time on patrol in a vehicle. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we are committed to putting people first while working together with integrity. **Position Type: Part Time** **Pay Rate: $20.73 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Tue08:00 PM - 04:00 AM Wed08:00 PM - 04:00 AM Sat08:00 PM - 04:00 AM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. + Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. + Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies. + Collaborate with local authorities or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must have at least 1 year of security experience. + Must be at least 21 years of age. + A valid driver's license is required and must meet AU Driver Policy Requirements. + Primarily driving post experience is preferred. + Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more... **Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race/ethnicity, age, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
