Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Manager to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity based on San Diego CA 92111

Scope:
Manages customer quality issues, including RMAs, SCARs, and complaints related to part quality and documentation. Drives process improvements across the organization to improve overall quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with customers to resolve quality issues.
• Manage all aspects of RMAs: issuing, processing, follow-up through closure.
• Investigate and respond to SCARs; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Handle customer complaints via phone/email in a timely manner.
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports using analytical tools.
• Collaborate with Planning Engineering to ensure accurate flow-down of customer quality requirements.
• Ensure shop traveler documentation and quality language is consistent and clear.
• Follow through on assigned tasks until resolution.
• Suggest procedural improvements and communicate safety concerns.
• Travel to customer/supplier sites as needed.
• Supervise the Quality team and other departments as required.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• B.S. in a technical field or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required (per ITAR regulations).

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills (verbal/written).
• Ability to lead, multitask, and work with diverse teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access); able to create charts/graphs.
• Skilled in blueprint/specification reading.
• Must comply with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and TTM export control regulations.
