We are currently seeking Production Machine Operators to join the team in our East Springfield Corrugated Packaging facility. We will train the right candidate. Experience is valued. Help ensure that all company standards and customer commitments (safety, quality, production, cost, on-time delivery) are met You will work in a team-based environment where safety is our priority WestRock Springfield is a closed Union shop * Starting payrate of $18.32, once out of training and probationary (60) days, pay increases to $20.10 * Shift available * 7AM - 3PM plus OT * Requires Saturdays 10am-3pm (every other Saturday) How You Will Impact WestRock: * You will learn the manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery * Your terrific work ethic will make you part of a world class team that depends on you! * Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage all employees to become safety conscious What You Need to Succeed: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent Attendance Record and solid work history * Excellent safety record * You must be able to use a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and understand basic math. Skills will be tested. * A great work ethic! * Available to work 1st shift and every other Saturday * Strong focus on Quality * Maintain housekeeping excellence * Maintain a clean and organized workspace * Must be able to lift, push, walk, stand, bend throughout a shift * Corrugated box manufacturing experience a plus, Printing experience very helpful * Basic English Language skills * High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus * Offer contingent on passing background screening, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
