Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-midnight

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

We are looking for a Meat Cutter to break down carcasses and fabricate into retail cuts that exceed customer expectations. The Meat Cutter reports directly to the Room Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Harvest Livestock

  • Break Down Carcasses

  • Fabricate Carcasses into Retail Cuts

  • Trim to Customer Specifications

  • Help Monitor All Daily Logs & Records

  • Maintain Organization

  • Inspect Packaging to Ensure Labeling Requirements are met

  • Clean and Sanitize Work Environment

  • Assist as Needed in Plant Operations

  • Lead by Example

  • Maintain a Positive Team Morale

  • Help Solve Problems and Teach Others to become Problem Solvers

  • Create an Excellent Customer Experience

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred

  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus

  • Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not a requirement. We encourage those with grocery store or restaurant meat cutting experience to apply as well as those who have worked in a meat processing facility. We are happy to train people who are excited to learn a new career as well.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, etc.)

  • Good hand-eye coordination

Compensation: $11.50-14.00 per hour depending upon experience. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary. On the job training is provided.
