Expected Salary:

$24.00 to $28.00 per hour

Salary is determined based on role responsibilities, work experience, skills, and education.

About the Role

As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality work while adhering to specifications and requirements. Your expertise will help us achieve efficiency and excellence in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize your knowledge of machining processes to produce quality parts.
• Assist in set-ups with full supervision for the first two years.
• Conduct accurate in-process quality inspections and maintain records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance quality.
• Oversee all phases of part operation set-up for first article acceptance.
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and eliminate waste.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Basic knowledge of various metals and machining measurements.
• 1-3 years of experience operating CNC mills/lathes.
• Skilled in using indicators, gauges, and inspection methods.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005”).
• Understanding of machine tool accuracies and tool offsets.
• Familiarity with cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace machining.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (more with assistance).
• Experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; machinist schooling is a bonus.
