Join Our Team as a Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant Senior!

As a Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant Senior , you will play a crucial role in ensuring our medical practice runs smoothly, assisting both medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Room Patients: Gather essential information about patients’ chief complaints, family history, social history, surgical history, and medication reconciliation upon their arrival.
• Telephone Interactions: Handle necessary communications with patients, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities.
• Administrative Tasks: Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, benefit verifications, and coordination of referrals and testing.
• Perform Office Procedures: Assist with procedures such as urine catheterizations, bladder scanning, suture or staple removal, and more, under the direction of a provider.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with written instructions regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
• Medication Management: Administer medications as per provider orders and assist with prescription refills.
• Vital Signs & Testing: Conduct vital sign checks, point-of-care testing, and process lab specimens.
• Training: Help train new CMA staff members.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Certifications:
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AAH
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from NAHP
  • Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) from NCCT
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from NHA
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from AHA
  • Additional RMA certifications from ARMA and AMT
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a healthcare organization

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.33 - $28.07 per hour . This range reflects our commitment to fair compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Additionally, Carle Health provides a comprehensive benefits package for team members.
