As an Assistant General Manager at Panera, you help lead an amazing team and a popular neighborhood bakery-cafe to success. You support your General Manager (GM) in managing overall operations, improving the customer experience, and increasing the bottom line, while also owning the people responsibilities for your location, including coaching, developing, and leading. You make the Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust of Panera a reality with your team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Build culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust; Be an ambassador of Guiding Values and Behaviors; Ensure extraordinary guest experiences; Build customer relationships; Support GM in key decisions and problem solving; Lead, manage, and develop team; Assist GM in leading and supervising all cafe staff; Plan and manage staffing, scheduling, development, and succession planning; Hire and train new team members; Manage team performance; Build subject matter experts; Recognize and celebrate achievements; Ensure high-quality operations and service; Motivate team to meet and exceed goals; Adhere to cafe systems and processes; Ensure compliance with policies and regulations; Ensure food safety standards; Ensure healthy and safe workplace; Grow sales and maximize profitability; Execute strategies for sales growth; Manage labor to support profitability; Assist GM in maintaining costs and inventory.
